Since my writing hasn’t gotten very far for any updates (Waiting on edits for both series right now) and I’m busy writing Book 2 of the Hidden Wishes, I thought I’d mention a few books I’ve read.

Downfall and Rise – I have mixed feelings about this book. It was a fun and engaging read, but at times, I was very frustrated with the protagonist / the story. There is a LOT of ‘let’s beat the MC down’ in this book, which isn’t the kind of books I enjoy mostly. I’ll probably read book 2 because it was well written, but hopefully it isn’t as depressing.

Rogue Dungeon – James Hunter brings a different take on the dungeon keeper world and he does it quite well. Again, I’m not a huge fan of ‘monster’ based books, but this one was fun. It felt too short, which probably says good things about the book itself. Certainly interested in book 2.

Monster Hunt NYC – I actually read book 2 recently, but thought I’d mention the series. It’s the first Altered Reality take on the LitRPG genre I’ve seen and it does it quite well. Harmon Cooper’s other series never got me, but this series is lighter and more relaxed which is nice. I’m not a huge fan of harems, but it’s not a huge portion of the book so far, so I’ll keep reading. I like the world it’s in and curious to see where it goes.

Lastly, The Wandering Inn Volume 1 Came Out! Read it.
