So, Patreon launched. I have no clue if the tiers make sense or if they work. I think they work. Hopefully you guys like them.
As mentioned before, a lot of the reasons for doing the Patreon isn’t to boost my income but to create a secondary source that is outside of Amazon. While it’s still concerning about the kind of things that might happen and I do intend to take certain steps to alleviate the pain, I’m hoping that Patreon can help.
Since I’ve never run one as an author before, let me know if there’s anything I’m missing. And once again, thanks for the support!
I’m poor but I’ll try to help. I’m rereading to prepare forthe next novel. I just realized you never really go over how someone changes their race. I need I would totally want to be an ‘ immortal’ elf!! So for my personal fanfiction I was curious how it happens and what are the systematic differences in races. Can you change anytime? Do you have to ‘save up’ for it somehow? My mind is going crazy lol thanks for giving my imagination such a wonderful world to play in. Oh and magic classes? How diverse are they? Could someone learn how to modify, diversify, or grow spells somehow? Sorry can you tell I love this series? You’ve done done amazing world building!!
I’m assuming you mean the System Apocalypse. In SA, races are pretty fixed. You can’t really change your races because it’s not really a video game. You could get genetic modifications to alter certain aspects of your race (and could, for example, end up looking like an elf) but you would still have significant portions of your DNA, etc as human. Admittedly, with the System, it can, technically be done (probably by a specific Class like Geneticists) to alter your genes more, but that would require finding such a person and risking losing ‘you’. Part of what makes us human is our DNA and the lizard / monkey brain that drives us. Change our DNA too far, you change the brain structure and you might not ‘be’ human.
Magic Classes are pretty wide ranging. If you can think of it, it’s probably a Class. Most people default to the basics because it’s easier and they are ‘basic’ because they’re generally good. Unique does NOT mean better after all, with the System potentially unable to handle the differences you’re attempting to achieve. There’s a bit of a give and take with the System in terms of what Classes are and how they are made.
