Just wanted to direct people to a rebranding post that was highly successful. Interesting to note some of the changes (like the gender) made such a difference in the release.
Sadly, that’s part of marketing. Currently, there’s just not enough female readers in our genre, and even when there are female protagonists, I think people have to be even more careful about how they write them. I know all too many writers with great books that just get short-changed.
Hopefully, as our niche grows, we’ll see a larger pool of female readers.
Also, I’m super surprised how well it did with just a few changes to categories. It makes such a difference, having a good cover and being in the right categories for your work.
